Keep Health Care Public

Sheri puts pressure on Feds to crack down on private health payments

Canadians are proud of our public health care system.

A central principle of our public system is that people's access to health care does not depend on one's ability to pay. However, while the Canada Health Act outlaws user fees, Saskatchewan is now allowing those who can afford to get special access to private MRI.

In question period Wednesday, Sheri asks the Minister of Health to act. Will the Minister enforce the Canada Health Act in Saskatchewan and across the country to crack down on these private payments, yes or no?
