Disability Tax Credit Seminar

with Peter Julian, MP and the Saskatoon Ostomy Association

Saturday April 22nd, 11:00am - 12:30pm
Saskatoon Inn
2002 Airport Drive
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7L6M4

This seminar, co-hosted by my colleague and long-time MP, Peter Julian, and the Saskatoon Ostomy Association will present information on accessing the Disability Tax Credit (DTC).

The Saskatoon Ostomy Association has invited Peter to present his Disability Tax Credit Seminar via phone at their Living with an Ostomy Educational
Seminar.

They want to be sure everyone who is interested can learn about this important tax benefit so they are opening their doors to anyone interested in hearing the presentation.

The DTC helps persons with disabilities or their supporting persons reduce the amount of income tax they may have to pay. It provides for greater tax equity by allowing some relief for disability costs, since these are unavoidable additional expenses that other taxpayers don’t have to face.

My office wants to make sure that every eligible resident knows how to access this important tax credit, which can amount to up to $1380 per year and can be claimed retroactively for up to 10 years.

While the Income Tax Act stipulates that this is a non-refundable tax credit, it is transferable to spouses and other family members if the income of the relative, with a disability or infirmity, is too low.

Please RSVP as there is limited seating in the room.

We hope to see you there!
